When he defended all four world cruiserweight titles usyk is scheduled to face Spong in the Wintrust Arena of Chicago since quitting Britains Tony Bellew in November.
Spong, 34, spent a lot of his combat career in mixed martial arts and competed before winning his first 14 struggles as a boxer in kickboxing.
Vada requires fighters or promoters to pay for testing for the length of a fight build-up and works in boxing and MMA. It said Spong was a part of its testing programme on 20 September.
