With just under four months until training camp, the future of wide receiver Josh Gordon remains unknown — both inside and out the Patriots locker room.
Quarterback Tom Brady and gordon worked out together last week, based on the Instagram of Brady. But the wideout stays indefinitely suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy in December.

Count Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman as one of those who does not know if — or when — the team will be rejoined by Gordon.
“It’s a life situation and you are pulling for him… for better,” Edelman said Wednesday, through Barstool Sports. “And selfishly, I need him because he is a really good football player and that he can help us.
“I don’t know anything (about if Gordon is going to probably be reinstated) going into it. Like, legit. I’ve asked 30 people within the organization and out,’Would you know what’s going to happen?’ And nobody knows not one thing. We’re just kind of sitting and waiting to find out exactly what the circumstances will be with him because he’d be a excellent tool. He balls.”
Gordon was expected to make an application for reinstatement in May, according to the Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, but there has not been any update on his position. Gordon did not attend the Patriots’ Super Bowl ring service and has not made any remarks that are public, but remains active.
