With just under four months until training camp, wide receiver Josh Gordon’s future remains unknown — both inside and out the Patriots locker area.
Gordon and quarterback Tom Brady worked out a week, according to Brady’s Instagram. However, the wideout remains suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy in December.

Count Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman among those who doesn’t know if — or when — Gordon will rejoin the team.
“it is a lifetime situation and you are yanking him… for better,” Edelman said Wednesday, via Barstool Sports. “And selfishly, I need him because he’s a really good football player and that he can help us.
“I really don’t understand anything (about whether Gordon will probably be reinstated) going right into it. Much like, legit. I have asked 30 people within the organization and out,’Would you understand what’s going to happen?’ And nobody knows not one thing. We’re just kind of sitting and waiting to see what the situation are going to be with him because he would be a excellent tool. He balls”
Gordon was anticipated to apply for reinstatement in May, based on NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, but there has not been any update on his status. Gordon did not attend the Patriots’ Super Bowl ring service and has not made any comments, but remains active on social networking.
