Chris Eubank Jr has accused Billy Joe Saunders of preventing him but warns that he will”get what’s coming” if they finally share a ring.
An expected rematch between the two Brits – who fought recently at middleweight – was mooted because their fight in November 2014.
Eubank Jr insists that he will get his revenge, although saunders won that fight in London by split decision.
He told Sky Sports News:”We’ve been attempting to make that struggle for decades. It happens, it happens.
“He’s not a priority for me right now because there’s a lot of other big names out there. But if that battle happens, he’ll get what’s coming, and I’ll have the ability to proceed.”
Asked if he believed Saunders had been avoiding him, or if the rematch hasn’t been organized because of motives, Eubank Jr stated:”The two.
“He does not wish to fight unless he’s getting paid a crazy quantity of money. But in this phase, the fight could be manufactured; it is only when and where.”
While he is unsure if he will get another shot Eubank – who obtained the IBO name when defeating James DeGale at February – says his next fight will likely soon be announced imminently.
“I have not been as active as I needed to be this season,” that the 29-year-old recognized. “I explained I wished to battle three occasions this year and I have only fought after.
“I will certainly be fighting before the year’s out. It will be within the next couple of months and there’ll be a statement within the next couple of weeks on the opponent and place.”
Eubank Jr provided his thoughts along with Andy Ruiz Jr, which Occurs on December 7 live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The 29-year-old believes Joshua can comfortably avenge his defeat to Ruiz Jr – the very first of his professional career – so long as he approaches the fight with the best”mindset”.
“AJ is a winner,” Eubank Jr.”I think if he goes in there together with the ideal mindset, he can perform the company easily. He didn’t have the mindset to do it at the fight.
“I think he maybe underestimated him as we all did, particularly when you’re fighting with a man that does not look like a fighter.
“However he underestimated himhe paid the price tag, and now I’m convinced he’s going to be fighting like his life is dependent upon it.
“He wants his straps back. He has worked so hard to realize what he’s achieved – that I really don’t think he’ll allow Ruiz to upset him .”
