Andy Ruiz Jr had been quick to mock Tyson Fury’s triumph over Otto Wallin after the British Catholics had indicated that he would easily defeat the Mexican world champion.
Fury had to overcome a dreadful cut and seemed to be hurt at the final round of their unanimous decision victory over Wallin in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Ruiz Jr viewed with interest after recent significant remarks from Fury and immediately took to social media to produce his own scathing verdict.
He explained:”After that operation there is no way that he beats me with a hands tied to his back.”
The Californian has returned from a three-city media tour before the rematch Saudi Arabia, on December 7, now live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Ruiz Jr possesses three world titles that were formerly held by Fury, who defeated Wladimir Klitschko to turn into the unified winner in 2015, however, the Brit had indicated he was a class above the present winner.
“I shall allow the fans pick, which hands I set behind my back and conquer Ruiz together with another hand – because I just need one hand to get him,” stated Fury earlier in the week.
Following his New York win over Joshua in June, Ruiz Jr has cautioned that he plans to replicate his victory in the year’s end.
“I have that appetite,” said Ruiz Jr.”I only got these belts. You think I need to lose them ? Hell no.
“I look hefty, I look big, but I always had the mindset that I would be the very first Mexican heavyweight winner”
