Preston midfielder Daniel Johnson Was named the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for August.

“Results-wise it’s been a great start for us, and I am thrilled for everyone none more than the fans as they have been incredible.
“We’re just six games in so we aren’t getting removed. The challenge for everybody today is to remain focused and continue working hard to make sure our good start is more than that.”
Manager: Paul Lambert
Ipswich manager Paul Lambert has been named the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month.
Turning a mentality about is not simple. Ipswich won only five games a year, yet they managed four successes at an abysmal August following relegation and picked up 14 points. Lambert’s beliefs in his players is now grabbing.
Lambert stated:”It’s great to receive the award but it’s a collective for everybody involved. From the time I came , the support behind me from the staff has been fantastic. The players are performing each week and if they do that, you get the plaudits.”
Player: Marcus Maddison
Peterborough midfielder Marcus Maddison has been named the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month for August.
August attracted three goals and six assists for the midfielder. Maddison enhanced as the month went on to the point where he was virtually unplayable at a central function from MK Dons and Sunderland, against both of whom he scored free kicks.
Maddison said:”It is an award I haven’t won previously, so I am really glad that I have been granted this award.
“It will mean a great deal. I’ve had a good beginning to the seasonI have belief in my team-mates, the supervisor was brilliant with me and now I’d say I’m not really at full gym yet, in order to win the award off the back of this, is wonderful. Hopefully I can carry on my shape and the group can take that form forward.”
Manager: Exeter, Matt Taylor
Exeter manager Matt Taylor has been appointed the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month for August.
Three instances in August his side plundered a winning goal in the last five minutes. That flipped an average start into an outstanding individual with 14 points from six games.Taylor has his players fit and hungry to mount a marketing challenge.
Taylor explained:”It’s been a good month, but that’s all down to the players. I have got a support staff which I’m thankful for, and when a manager is given the manager of the month then it’s because the consequences are there – and that is down to the players.
“You need to continue playing well, you want to continue picking up points. We had a meeting this morning where the accent had been to come in the upcoming few months, and we have got to make the most of them.
“The lads appear to be enjoying their football and their training. They are working hard, but sport is strange, and it changes so fast. A bit of luck here and there, which we’ve had so far this season, however, the performances need to keep on building and I will continue asking for more out of this collection .”
Player: Grimsby, James Hanson
Grimsby striker James Hanson has been named the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month.

Hanson stated:”When you come to a new club you constantly attempt to hit the floor running, and mercifully I have done that so much better. I have managed to have five goals and three assists and the group has started well so I am happy.
“I’m delighted to receive this, and it only shows how well we’re doing as a team as well, along with the gaffer was at the nominees for the Director of the Month award. So it only shows that we are on the perfect track, and we have begun the way we wanted to get started.”
