Europe’s Charley Hull feels house fans will”respect” United States players at the Solheim Cup after American Danielle Kang said she expects to be booed.
26, kang, roused the home fans to the first tee in Iowa at the 2017 match.
“I was told personally I was planning to be booed,” said Kang. “It is OK. You can boo me. I’m eager to listen to sound, whatever that might be.”
When asked about possible booing in this week’s matches, Hull, 23, said:”I believe that they’ll get a warm welcome”
Hull, who is making her fourth largest Solheim Cup appearance, added:”Everybody is really fair, especially in Scotland, the home of golf. I feel everyone will be respectful.”
The edition of this Solheim Cup, which pits Europe from the US every two decades, begins on Friday in Gleneagles, Scotland.
Kang won since the US won 16 1/2 -11 1/2 2 years ago in Des 21, three points in four matches.
After she walked to the teeshirt, she encouraged the crowd to maximize their noise levels in support.
“It had been top notch for me personally,” she said. “The reality we had been on US land made it simpler and I discovered all of the’USA’ chants.
“I am loud whether I am in Nevada or at Scotland. I really don’t believe I change. I’m certainly going to embrace the tee.
“I hear I’m likely to be booed at a stage, so bring it all around. You may boo me because they will clap out there if I struck a fairway. I love to have rowdy crowds.
“I do not know if they are likely to do it. Whatever happens, I do not really listen to it. And also, they’ve got an accent, so I’m not sure it’s going to even come outside as b-o-o.”
