England manager Gareth Southgate expects a”completely different challenge” from Kosovo into the one his side faced from Bulgaria on Saturday.
England host Kosovo in Euro 2020 qualifying at Southampton’s St Mary’s on Tuesday having defeated Bulgaria 4-0.
“It will be a very different style of game,” said Southgate.
“Kosovo will be very large pressinghard working, a more attacking threat than we faced on Saturday. Maybe there will be more room to play up front.”
He added:”Whatever we learned from Saturday’s match this is a completely different challenge.”
England have won all three matches in Group A while point sits behind in 2nd place – on eight points – as the only other unbeaten team.
Kosovo director Bernard Challandes needs his players to dream that they could expand their unbeaten streak to 16 games on the first meeting against England of his side.
Only recognized in 2016 as a part of Uefa and Fifa, Kosovo have not lost in almost two years – a run of 15 games.
“We’re Kosovo and we are talking contrary to one of the best teams in the Earth, in my view – the best team on earth,” Challandes mentioned.
“I think it is in my philosophy that if we don’t dream it is unnecessary to play these games, then we should dream and do all that is possible to disturb England.
“For me as a coach it’s not easy to have a great mixture for the evaluation of the game.
“When I say’we are to triumph’, I think a lot of individuals believe that’s pretentious; should I state’it isn’t feasible to win from England’, I have to alter my occupation.
“It’s clear for me it is going to be a very, very difficult game but it is a chance for our really young team to demonstrate what is really a very, very high level.”
England have no new accidents, but Southgate may create modifications.
“We might freshen the group a bit, that’ll be significant,” he said. “We don’t have to, everyone is fit and available. We will need to be certain we get the balance right.
“We need to get the right defending and attacking profiles to make sure that we win the game.”
Southgate did affirm that captain Harry Kane will begin after scoring a hat-trick contrary to Bulgaria to proceed to 25 goals for his nation, one before World Cup winner Geoff Hurst.
