Cagliari have been rid of racist chanting towards Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku in a Serie A match.
Since he was about to take a penalty at a 2-1 victory at the Sardegna 21, chants were targeted at Lukaku.
However, based on some sports judge acting on behalf of the league, there was not adequate evidence for any sanctions.
The Sardinian club were, however, fined 5,000 euros for projecting plastic bottles on the pitch off in Parma on Sunday.
The report declared that chants, shouts and whistles were directed at Lukaku from Cagliari lovers, but they weren’t enough in”dimensions and understanding” to bring any form of punishment from the team and its fans.
This is actually the third time that the club was investigated for alleged racist abuse in the past two years following instances involving Moise Kean, the Italy forward currently at Everton, along with his then Juventus team-mate, France global Blaise Matuidi, however no action has been taken on each occasion.
