Anthony Crouch, a huge Cherries fan, spelled out AFCB at block-paving on his client’s drive after discovering his digger had been”pimped” using a Southampton flag and then, the following day, a Santa in a Saints hat.
“The customer had been a friend of a friend, a guy I’d met a few occasions,” Crouch told Sky Sports News.
“For the previous three to four decades he has pulled us out for supper ahead of this Southampton v Bournemouth match. He is a Saints fan, but also a great bloke. He let us use his home when he was not there while we were on website. I am able to tell you his whole downstairs WC is a shrine to the Dell!
“After I saw what he’d done together with the Southampton flag and Santa on the digger I knew he was searching for its banter, and that’s when I chose to put the brick layout in his driveway.
“He watched the funny side, actually he enjoyed it so much that when I removed the AFCB blueprint, he asked me to replace it with SFC!”
