Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri and former Chelsea was appointed as Italian side Sampdorias supervisor.
Eusebio di Francesco, who had been sacked using the club of Serie A on Monday after six defeats in seven matches is replaced by ranieri.
The 67-year-old Italian succeeded Di Francesco in Roma in March on a contract.
Its his 20th appointment and a spell as a boss in the top flight of Italy.
Leicester dismissed ranieri nine months afterwards famously despite starting the effort because 5,000-1 22, winning the 2016 Premier League title.
